WORLD RECORD FLOAT AND FLY CONTEST
Here are the Rules
1. All Fish entered must be caught using the Float and Fly method of fishing
2. Any fish entered must be of legal length in the state it is caught in.
3. No fish under 6.5 pounds will be entered.
4. Fish must be weighed on a certified scale and witnessed by at least one
other person.
5. Use of electronic scales for a Catch and Release Record are ok. The
length, girth and picture of any released fish must be provided. Take
picture of fish on a Golden Rule.
6. World Record Setter will receive an All Pro Float and Fly Rod and spool
of Seguar Flourocarbon and Power Pro 8 pound test line.
7. Catch and Release Record will receive only the lines.
OTHER FISH...
Float and Fly Records for other fish will be accepted.
Largemouth Bass, Trout, Drum, Walleye, Catfish, and Crappie will be
recognized here.
Largemouth Bass over 6.5 pounds
Trout - Rainbow over 3 pounds
Brown
Trout over 3 pounds
Lake
Trout over 10 pounds
Other
Trout will be accepted and analyzed by staff for record status.
Walleye - Current known record is 8 pounds by a customer of Bob Coan.
Crappie - Over 2 pounds
Drum - Over 8 Pounds
Catfish - Any over 8 pounds
Submit the following
information:
Location of Catch
Person who caught the fish
Weather conditions
Water temperature
Water Clarity
Type of Jig used - Hand tied, or the name of the company
Line used - Type of leader
Any other information you may have. Video of your catch can be posted using
a YouTube.com Enbed.
Pictures of Fish Caught on the Float and Fly (Submit Pictures to
Jimd072@aol.com along with a description of the fishing conditions, body
of water and any other pertinent info)
